No matter what you do, in the beginning it’s going to suck, because you suck. But You’ll get better, and you’ll suck less. And as you keep doing this, eventually you’ll suck so little… you’ll actually be good.
Starting a new business is hard. It’s confusing, it’s new and there’s so much information out there now about what is the right way and the wrong way to start a business that most people feel defeated before they even begin! So where do you begin?
There’s no defined starting point to a business. It might start as an idea in the shower one morning, then disappear, then re-appear again 2 years later when you’re sitting on a bus. That’s when the best idea’s arrive - either the shower or on some mode of transport. Somewhere where you can’t write them down straight away of course… You might be sitting and mulling over a problem with a friend, then some sort of inspiration takes hold or a new business idea might come for a straight up question from a client to create a new solution to an ongoing problem.

Yes, you’ll be scrambling and some days you’ll feel like you’ve been chasing your tail, but then other days you’ll creep that little bit further forward. If you don’t start, you can’t build from where you are. If you don’t build, you can’t become an expert in your field. And if you can’t become an expert in your field, you lose your market.
Practically though… here’s a few ideas to get you from that starting block into the pool:
I know the above will at least get you going in the direction you need to go to get “started”.
Remember - keep going. With small steps, we can travel miles.
